Abstract
This article proposes an educational model for the career in Computer Science at the University of Los Andes. This proposal fits within the philosophical framework for careers in the area of Information Technologies of the University of Los Andes. For the development of the model, a type of documentary research was carried out, based on the systematic observation and reflection of the academic reality of the University of Los Andes, and in particular, the Department of Computing, using different types of sources and mechanisms: documents, experiences, workshops, among others. Basically, the educational model is oriented to the training of professionals who respond to the needs of the country in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), drawing on the profiles defined by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Associationfor Computing Machinery (ACM). The model combines scientific activities, reflection and development of technologies. It takes into account the needs of the student, proposing a flexible curriculum, adaptable to emerging needs, based on a process of self-training. Finally, the organizational structure of the race is inspired by the metaphor of clouds. The proposed model is composed of three sub models: the Curricular Model, the Didactic Model and the Philosophical Model.Downloads
