Abstract
The work is part of the documentary modality and aims to analyze some edges associated with management of social organizations in a scenario of university transformation in Venezuelan institutions of higher education to the crisis and socio-economic demands of the current environment. It is required a university management to make decisions based on a holistic view, based on the integrating ethics and as an open system structure aimed at flattening and relevance to the demands of the environment in order to be able to give satisfactory answers to society in general. In conclusion, it is assumed that the true university transformation will depend essentially on: a) the shared vision among members of the academic community, b) a commitment for its implementation, made by various institutional actors and guided by genuine academic values c) strategic actions taken by the leadership of managers as responsible for guiding the transformation process.
