7. Socially intelligent university and culture of peace

Abstract

This documental study has as main purpose to analyze the potentiality of the university facing the challenges of the present or post moderns times. It trends toward the determination of properties in an organizational structure capable to respond to an intense social demand. The university is also trying to be related to a kind of culture that makes solid all the principals of peace.  It is taken as a premise that between those ideal properties, the social organizational intelligence is perhaps the most important of all. In other words, social intelligence has to have the necessary tools to exercise social responsibility. Mentioning some conclusions, it is very important to promote a new university that is fed with the help of the community through the social responsibility where that action can be based on culture of peace.
