Abstract

The following is a field descriptive research. Its objectives are to describe teachers' performance self-assessment process at "Dr. Ambrosio Perera" Technical School in Barquisimeto city, and to identify self-assessment criteria. The universe was composed of 84 teachers, with a sample of 29. A questionnaire was used to collect data. It is concluded that teachers' performance assessment and self-assessment is important. This process is done at the end of every three months, taking into account teachers' as well ass students' opinions. Teachers consider self-assessment must include instrumental, interpersonal, systemic aspects; self-reflection criteria, recordings in audio and video, portafolios, students' performance and dairies.
