Abstract
This essay, which is the product of theoretical reflection, provides some ideas about the possibility of relying on hermeneutics as the epistemological referent of the processes involved in the learning evaluation. The body of this research work, divided into three main points, starts with the reasons why hermeneutics is the most ideal approach for evaluation with emphasis on human experience; secondly, due to the features of this research work, the most relevant authors´ contributions and perspectives are summarized in a concise fashion, all applicable to the evaluative activity; and thirdly, all the procedural and conceptual elements allowing the proposal to be operational. Finally, in a more tentative manner, the components of the learning evaluation are briefly characterized from the hermeneutical perspective.
