The EDUCARE Journal is a periodical source of scientific publication, divulgated by the Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador (UPEL) Venezuela, through the Research and Postgraduate Subdirectorate of the "Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa" InstitutoPedagógico Barquisimeto, (IPB), whose objectives are:

  1. To serve as an informative source of innovative pedagogical theories and practices, tested within the institution or out of it that contributes to the improvement of educational quality.
  2. To announce the findings of research productions generated in the different departments and research units of the UPEL and other national and international academic institutions.
  3. To stimulate the research production of the UPEL and other universities at different levels of education.

The EDUCARE Journal (UPEL-IPB) will have a quarterly periodicity, with an edition of three (3) annual issues:

January-April: from 15th to 30th
May-August: from 15th to 30th
September-December: from 15th to 30th

Occasionally, extraordinary numbers may be published.

A multidisciplinary format with methodological breadth is assumed in the fields of Educational Sciences. Therefore, all disciplines and areas of study that have a link with any modality of the national and international educational system have a legitimate space within the publication. Likewise, both articles that obey quantitative and qualitative approaches are accepted as long as they have been applied with the scientific rigor set by each field of knowledge in educational research.  

Academic and Scientific Community to which it is Addressed

EDUCARE (UPEL-IPB) is a specialized journal in the field of Educational Sciences intended at teachers, researchers, and professionals at a national and international level who carry out scientific activities in the different disciplines of educational knowledge.

Excellent Quality Examination

The UPEL-IPB EDUCARE Journal carries out a meticulous quality examination of the editorial management process:

  1. The person responsible for editing defines which articles meet the preliminary requirements referred to the regulations and these are sent to the first review filter that includes plagiarism or self-plagiarism detection.
  2. The articles are assigned to reviewers considering their area's expertise.
  3. A double-blind review is used.
  4. Specialists in writing and style will review the approved articles. 
  5. The translation specialist will review the English sections of the approved articles.
  6. The person specialized in graphic design will diagram the approved articles.
  7. After the layout process, a PDF will be sent to each author to obtain approval and filter undetected mistakes.
  8. The journal guarantees access to material with good practices and ethical considerations.
Reuse Policies

The journal allows authors to retain publication rights without restrictions; and the authors guarantee the journal the right to be the first publication of the work. Likewise, the authors cannot send EDUCARE (UPEL-IPB) any article that is being evaluated by another journal. And if an article is being evaluated by EDUCARE (UPEL-IPB) and the author or authors wish to withdraw it, they must send a duly signed correspondence to the editorial board through the email revistaeducareupelipb@gmail.com stating the reason (s) for the withdrawal; to avoid continuation in the editorial process.
