Abstract

The paper reports an excerpt from an investigation that seeks to unveil the cognitive components underlying the discourse of the promotion to the Titular Category (TACT), in teachers of the Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador (UPEL). Speech analysis techniques were used; The documentary population was 192 TACT (years 1997 - 2009) and the 35 research layer (years 2005 - 2009) from which 7 were chosen; The units of analysis were the corpus of the Results Section organized in matrices. With the categories, trajectories were delineated. Triangulation revealed that the most commonly used implementation Components were coding and less used comparison and matching. Cognitive support is recommended for teachers who choose to be promoted.
