Abstract
The present paper focuses on the design of a verbal analysis protocol that allows the identification of cognitive operations and strategies used by a person in the action of solving a problem; at the same time, it lets the verification of some error and bias in the processing of information that promote failed attempts to answer. It is proposed to build a “think aloud” protocol that facilitates the detailed exploration of multiple processes for search and answers and enables the pursuit for patterns that are the underlying guidelines or implicit rules under which a subject reorganize the elements of a problem. The methodology used was the documental review derived in an analysis methodological proposal. It is concluded that the proposed protocol helps to evaluate alternative ways for plausible and provisional solutions which are attempts for experimental solutions coming from the combined and juxtaposed surveys of thinking.Downloads
