Abstract
Venezuelan stick fighting which is better known as juego de garrote, is situated within the folklore-culture context bind to music, dance and religion (juego de la batalla). It is little known in its utilitarian origin, a wood fencing. From this approach –a fighting method– there are few academic studies. It contains a legacy of learning, traditions, and beliefs, as well as social and cultural customs that make up the national identity. Such are fundamental for education. This essay makes a brief description of this traditional game from a perspective: the Motor Praxiology, as a contribution for its knowledge, understanding, dissemination and implementation of this cultural manifestation. The experience developed by the author of this article shows that it can be used as a tool for comprehensive training. Stimulating a vein of new ways that can give contributions to education is sought, particularly in the area of the Physical EducationDownloads
