Is it posible to digitize universitary services? Strategic guidelines for an e-Secretariat

Abstract

The present study shows, on one hand, the process of reviewing and advanced documentary analysis of virtual secretariat or e-secretariat, as the introduction and development of Information Technologies and Communication Technologies (ICT) proposes challenges of crucial importance to the educational university world. Consequently, many processes related to teaching and research have achieved a remarkable progress, which has resulted in gestation and development of virtual university campus. However, the processes involved in the management of functions and services related to the secretariats still faces serious limitations. Moreover, the experience accumulated in the daily exercise of the Secretariat of the National Experimental University "Antonio José de Sucre" (UNEXPO) permits to structure logical and coherent proposal formed by a series of strategic services.
