Abstract

This research aims to describe the process of application of the strategy "field work" in teaching Natural Sciences in students of the Basic School of Young Adults, as well as to establish the scope of the strategy in this group of subjects. A quantitative field research was used to compare the means of the tests before and after the application of the strategy, in non-randomized groups. Its application was carried out during four consecutive academic periods (2011 - 2012 until 2014 - 2015). The results are significant enough to point out that this strategy contributes to the development of cognitive and social skills, given the interaction between the person studying and what is studied, its application affects the qualifications of young adults improving their conditions to acquire, process and transfer experiences and learning.
