Abstract
Low student achievement in subjects requiring mathematical, logical and computational skills to solve problems, especially in computer subjects, demands changes in their teaching. One proposal is the application of Problem-Based Learning (PBL), which contributes to learning by discovery and construction. The objective is to design a teaching strategy to solve problems of computational origin in the phase of Object Oriented Analysis (AOO) using ABP. The research is of a project type, supported by a descriptive field study. The study population was conformed by 232 students and by 12 professors of a Venezuelan university. As a result, a Computer Engineering Teaching Strategy (ESENCI) is designed that includes the planning and execution phases, which comprise activities that the teacher executes to construct the problem and design better conditions for its resolution by the student. ESENCI contemplates the strengthening of instrumental, interpersonal and systemic competences.Downloads
