Don Lisandro Alvarado: a current paradigm for the Universidad Centroccidental

Abstract

Lisandro Alvarado was an intelIectual, bom in El Tocuyo, Lara State. He represents a paradigm for professionals and students in the scientific and humanity fields. Some of Alvarado's work, his contribution to knowledge during his lifetime, his research profile, and the integral human being guided by values acquired throughout his life, are highlighted in his biography, which is the product of a documentary research. Today, the validity of Don Lisandro's work makes him a role model to folIow for scholars, especialIy, the ones at the VCLA community.
