Abstract
The following is the result of a teaching experience where different metacognitive strategies based on ICT to develop strategic and creative learning in medicine students from UCLA were applied. The methodology consisted on that ofthe interpretative approach, with a hermeneutic and fenomenologic orientation. The sample, which was intentional and composed ofprofessors and students ofthe Medicine Program at UCLA, was applied an interview in depth. The data was analyzed, categorized and interpreted. Results show that through the development of metacognitive, affective, and organizational skills, the management of ICT, and problem-solving situations, an improvement in the capacities to invent, innovate and discover knowledge in an independent and amusing way was reached.
