Abstract

This research paper is about some general principIes of the greenhouse effect as a product of the concentration of the pollution gases in the atmosphere (GHG: CO2, ~O, 03, CH4o) and its relationship with the global warming. This phenomenon as expression of the pernicious antropogenic activities, that the Earth has been going truogh since some years ago. The possible impact of the climate change on crop of tomato using the simulation computational model contained in the DSSA T System (Support System of Decision Agrotechnology Transfer) is analysed. Specifically, the effects of the variations and increases in the atmospheric temperature on variables like crop cyc1e duration yield, biomass production and leaf are index, as well as transpiration and drainage behavior of the agroecosystem are studied. It is concluded that the increasing temperature effect influences in harvest yield decrease, in biomass production in the leaf area index, dreinage and, at the time that evapotranspiration increases, and speeds up humidity absorption bringing obout a water resource decrease and soil drought. In adition, it is considered that yield decrease is derived from cropdevelopment cycle shortening and aditional energeticcost, by the respiratoryprocess.Bassicaly, tomato crop resulted to be sensitive to outlined climatic scenarios and productivity, being affected in a negative way.
