Abstract
The objective of the present research was to generate a model of didactic-creative strategies addressed to professors from the Natural Sciences Department at the Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador, Instituto Pedagógico “Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa” (UPEL-IPB). As the purpose was to analyze, interpret and to improve professors’ teaching practice through the use of a critical, reflexive and interactive approach; the study was performed within a qualitative model of research by using the Participatory Action Research Method. Data processing was achieved through the Constant Comparative Method. It was done handily at first and later it was supported by the use of the Atlas/ti software. Among the most relevant findings it is possible to name that social actors reported academic needs related to the planning of the teaching and learning processes, didactic strategies, assessment, research methodology and a pedagogic theory adapted to the classroom practices. Finally, the study shows the guidelines for the model (MEDCAD) which is structured in three levels: Theoretical, Practical, and Experiential. Each level was differentiated by a dimension: Pedagogical, Didactical and Teaching formation.
