Abstract
The paper describes the experience in implementing an Institutional Professional Development Project managed at the Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" in Las Villas, Cuba, directed toward the design of an action plan to promote the participation of teachers at work in academic and scientific networks and publishing articles in internationally recognized educational journals. The current importance of the topic is highlighted and the problem needs is defined. The methodological design is described, which is based on the approach of action research as a process of continuous improvement, organized in a sequence of phases including: diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Finally, the results or findings and open perspectives for further work in next stages are analyzed.
